About the event
In July 2024, President Donald Trump declared, “We will unleash the power of American innovation, and as we do, we will soon be on the verge of finding the cures to cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and many other illnesses." The President has since announced the Stargate Project and the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) commission with focus including cancer and other non non-communicable diseases (NCDs). At the same time, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) High-Level Meeting taking place on September 25th, 2025 will focus on NCDs. Hence the 2025 GHC summit taking place September 19-21 at Harvard/MIT will announce new collaborative funded programs and projects by the U.S. government and innovative Global Cancer Funding to grow collaborations focused on NCDs.
